Hello AA7ZB3Y4!

I’m two22, I didn’t choose that screen name my teacher gave them to us, from MD. I’m in Mr.Mayo’s class, the students that you guys are contacting. To answer your questions on your post “Wassup“. I’ll do two posts…

  • It’s nice out here. We’ve got four seasons, but lately for the past couple years we haven’t gotten a lot of snow… partly because of Global Warming. (Actually I’m doing an optional project for school about Global Warming. Maybe it’ll change the way people look at that fact.) I love the spring and fall here because it’s nice and warm, not too hot or too cold.
  • There are a lot of tall buildings here: hotels, office buildings, apartments, those kinds of buildings.
  • Well, yeah there is a lot of politics around here. There’s always someone criticizing President Bush, a senator, representitive, etc. But I guess, people do that in every state. There is a lot of politicial talk when election times come around. In 2004, my elementary school held an “student election” of who you think should be the next president; Gore or Bush, I think, and Gore won.
  • Our school is like a 10 to 15 minute walk to Downtown In DTSS, there’s a movie theatre, Borders, Ben & Jerry’s, and a bunch of other stores and shops. A lot of us go there to hang out after school on Fridays, and on the weekends. We also go to Montgomery Mall or Wheaton Mall… but it really depends on the person.
  • Abercrombie/ Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale, Hollister, Pink by Victoria Secret, American Eagle, Forever 21, and Pac Sun are probably the most popular stores at school.
  • Everyone’s unique here. Some of us; play on a basketball team, baseball/softball team, soccer team, or do ballet, lacrosse, track & feild, figure skating, and a bunch of other sports. Our school has won a bunch of medals musical wise, instrumental.

Please respond, and I can’t wait to contact you!

Colorado students:

Do you wonder what it’s like to live near the White House? Well, it’s okay and all. The thing about living near Washingon D.C. you get worried about Terrorist threats.. a lot. Some parts of Washington D.C. is amazing, if you know where and when to go. The cherry blossoms near the Washington Monument are so pretty during the spring time. We have a festival and everything, when the cherry blossoms bloom. There are great museums here, that you don’t have to pay for admission. All the museums here are free, and in elementary school we go to the history, and the air and space museum twice. Although we live near the White House, most of us have not met the president. The students that get to meet him, usually are the students in D.C. We’ve had so many Code Red and Code Blue drills because of the “Sniper attacks”, and the crashing into the Pentagon and twin towers. You know what Code Reds and Blues are right? Most of the students at my school love Code Red drills…

My prediction is:

The doctor will order his servant to try to find the “Great Pearl”, and steal it from Kino. From what I’ve read so far, the doctor is very greedy. Juana will try to tell Kino to destroy the pearl, and Kino would resist for he thinks it will bring Coyotito education. Coyotito will get worse and Kino will try to get him better. Kino thinks that the doctor is trying to make Coyotito worse, so he doesn’t pay the doctor. Because of that, the doctor will try to kill baby Coyotito, which he does successfully. Kino and Juana try to move on, without baby Coyotito.

Everyone in this article won at least a million doillars, but now they’re all broke. They all learned that during the time that they were rich, family members put a lot of pressure on them. For example; William “Bud” Post won $16.2 million dollars, but within a year he was $1 million dollars in debt. The money went to: a former girlfriend who sued him for a share, siblings who pressured him to invest in a resturaunt and car business that brought no money to anyone. All the stories are a like in one way or another. Bottom line: they were all careless and foolish. They were pressured into things they didn’t want to do, gave away money, and just didn’t know how to say NO!
