Advertisers are now using psychologists to find out what kids find interesting. The American Psychological Assosiciation do research on children, that analyze children’s behavior, fantasy lives, art work and their dreams. Using this, the advertisers can use this to attract younger children. Although many people have protested, the APA are still doing the studies today. By presenting the logos and brands to kids early in their life they are most likely going to like the label. If you see something at an early age and like it, you’re most likely going to like it when you grow older. By presenting it to younger kids, the companies will make lots of money in the future years. The “Cool Kids” in the community are the kids that other kids are jealous of, look up to, and want to be. If the “other” kids like what the “cool kids” are wearing, they’re very likely to go out and buy it. They want to have what the “insiders” have. Thus, the companies make money. They play the violent movie comercials during the time that kids are most likely watching t.v. They do this to earn more money, but these violent movies could hurt children’s mental state of mind. They should put themselves in our situation, seeing comerical after comerical of violent/R-rated movies. Kids see them and don’t think of them as violent because they’ve seen so much. They go to the theaters to see the movie, and that just encourages the movie producing businesses to do it even more. It won’t stop until they stop.

The people of North Korea have no idea what is going on in the world. Their government has blocked out all visitors and any information that will betray their trust to Kim Il Sung. They had the public believe that he really didn’t die. They told the children that their leader had supernatural powers, so if people are told that at an early age they are most likely going to believe it. There are people in North Korea that know the government is keeping information from them, but those that know keep their mouth shut. The story of their leader now, was that he was born in a log cabin. The soilders had a feeling something wonderful was going to happen, so they carved it in a tree. Recently, a botanist studied the tree, and announced to the public that the tree didn’t not exist fifty years ago, so the story can not be true. After all those years of the government telling them that story, a botanist, one of the commoners, is telling them that that story is false. The governments is filling the commoners heads with stories that aren’t true. The people of North Korea should start thinking about what makes sense to them, and what doesn’t. Even if that gets them in trouble, at least they’ll know what’s right and wrong. This could lead to North Korea’s democracy, if the commoners stood together there si no way that the government is larger than everyone else. The governments is starving the economy; no tourists, no trading with other countries, it’s just their isolated country.

In Islambad, Pakistan, the news reporters are being silenced by the government. There has been to much confliction with President Pervez Musharraf, and the media is turning the people’s back against the government. They are making the government sound like bad people, and people are getting out of hand. This was to ensure the safety of the new Pakistanian governement. The government is still very unstable, and I think that the president should do like a news conference for the media to broadcast. People can ask him questions, comment on things, and he will answer the questions and explain what is going on. If he does this, everyone will be on the same page, and hopefully this will not cause anymore violence. He is the president, so he should get to know the people of his country and let people get to know him. Maybe one day everything will be peaceful over there, and we can just all hope that things will turn out great. The Pakistanian government is on their way of being a democratic country.
